6th Annual First Ladies Tea To Go

You're invited to join us at the 5th Annual First Ladies' Tea, a fundraiser for Best Beginnings.

Over 18,000 Alaska children are growing closer with their families and developing a lifelong love of reading thanks to Imagination Library. Books in the home have been proven to be one of the best ways to nurture a child's early learning. Reading with a young child builds their brain and helps get them ready for school.

Imagine if every child began kindergarten with the experience of an entire home library behind them? At the cost of just $30 per child per year, we know that Alaskans can come together to make our vision a reality.

Co-hosts play a vital role in making Imagination Library possible. By inviting your friends and sharing the event, you help spread the word about the important work being done to ensure Alaska children start kindergarten ready to succeed. Together, we can keep the books coming!

In the past we've asked that co-hosts volunteer to bring tea sweet and savories to share. However, in an abundance of caution due to COVID-19, this year's event will be a drive-through, to go Tea. We invite you to don your high tea finest and drive through the beautiful rotunda of The Marilaine. First Ladies of Alaska, with Best Beginnings Board and Staff, will be there to greet you with a heart-felt thank you and cup of tea to-go.
